The Canadian Druze Society is a not‑for‑profit community organization based in Scarborough, Ontario. We operate community programming, events, cultural education, and membership services for Druze families across the GTA.

• Membership & Accounts: name, email, phone, mailing address, household details, role/plan, and membership status.
• Event Registration & Programs: attendee names, contact info, emergency contact for youth programs, and special notes you provide.
• Donations & Purchases: order details, donation amounts, receipts; payment card details are processed by our payment processor and are not stored by CDS.
• Website & Technical: IP address, device/browser info, pages visited, and cookies needed for login and the shopping cart.
• Photos & Media (Community Events): we may capture community photos/videos during events. We respect requests not to be photographed and will accommodate removals upon request.

• Administer memberships, programs, and event registrations.

8) Photos, Youth & Sensitive Situations

• Event Photography: If you prefer not to appear in photos/videos, please inform a volunteer or email us. We will make reasonable efforts to accommodate and remove published images upon request.
• Youth Programs: For minors, we collect only the information needed to deliver programs safely (e.g., emergency contact). Parental/guardian consent is requested when appropriate.
• Religious & Cultural Respect: We handle all community information with sensitivity and use it only for community‑related purposes.

9) Retention & Security

We retain personal information only as long as necessary for community services, legal/tax reporting, or as required by law. We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your information; no method is 100% secure, but we continuously improve our controls.
