Dear CDS brothers and sisters,
Our community is once again shocked and horrified by the violence being perpetrated against our Druze brethren in Syria. We strongly condemn these horrific attacks on innocent civilians.
Our faith teaches us peace and compassion, and we pray for the end of this violence and for the protection of civilians.
We extend our deepest and most heartfelt sympathy to the families who are living in fear and uncertainty during this difficult time. To those who have lost loved ones, we offer our sincerest condolences and stand with you in your grief. No words can ease the pain of such loss, but please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you. We pray to God to grant you strength and peace, and to protect all those who remain in harm’s way.
A collective vigil will be held by our Syrian brothers and sisters to honor the victims, express our condolences, and stand united with As-Suwayda in this time of suffering.

The Canadian Druze chapters have sent this formal letter (druze.us8.list-manage.com/track/click?u=d462f032b6ed4bcc310b73c18&id=ca4a8de0e2&e=d50ce82708) to the Jordanian Embassy in Ottawa appealing for a humanitarian corridor for Suweyda.
